14 day money back policy contravene consumer protection act
I have bought a MAXXUS V-TRAINER compact, hoping that this product will assist me with body toning and weight loss program, the sales team in mosselbay store rated it highly that this product works however after 4 months of following instructions everyday for 10 minutes workout twice a day only to find out that this product is not working. I went back to the shop demanding my money back because I was sold a product that does not work the way it was recommended and advertised to me, they refused to give me my money back and told me about their 14 day money back policy. I am really furious because this product is very expensive and they selling false advertising secondly If verimark has confidence on its products especially products that's supposed to last you a very long period of time, then why have such policy. This policy does not make sense can't be one size fits all approach, I'm sure that it contravene the consumer protection act. there is no way any gym equipment can be proven to work within 14 days or even under 6 months. On top of that I called head office for customer complaints only to be attended by rude unprofessional staff, telling me that there is nothing they can do I must sell it privately. I want my money back the product is not working. I am disgusted about how verimark does its business, I am not the first client who complain about their policy. I am taking this matter to ombudsman clearly they have been getting away with this for a long time. This is my second expensive product I am buying from them. Word of advice don't buy verimark products, their products are not good quality and their advertising is false.
