verycred organisation
got an email from company called verycred telling me about owing monies that i have already settled mid march and got a paidup letter from the organization I owed. the lady on the other end of the line was rude to me when i explained my situation and about the line being choppy she was so rude and i tried to reason with her and she hang-up the call. the ombudsman should be aware of organizations such as these that go around harassing people and infringing on POPIA on a daily basis without any care of the laws of this land and it is unfair. i am now very angry. I am now wondering what methods and tools does this company use to employ people so they go to work and just abuse us like this.

Contrary to your claims, we are definitely not "infringing on Popia" as you allege. We hereby place on record that we are totally and fully compliant with legislation regarding the Popi Act.
We would like to state and set the record straight that we did not go and fetch your account from thin air, the account was handed over by our client and not the other way around.
Please take cognisance that we are investigating with RCS, our client who handed over your account for collection at the end of September. In the interim a 'hold' was placed on your account pending their feedback received.
