VeriCross with VeriCred

Hello Peter,

I have recently (December) been notified about school fees by Vericred which they claim i owe and I was still getting my facts together to confirm if this is valid as i finished school back in 2010 and it came as a surprise that i was never contact from that time and their first contact was in December and about the past two months they made contact with my parent which they claimed that they never had any information.

Due to the fact that it was the holidays I couldn't get to the school to confirm this and in January i couldn't be assisted at Capricorn FET as they said they only want first time applicants. However i made contact with vericred to set up a debit order with them for the payment and i will sort out it with the school they have never debited any money.

I sent a mail to get my financial statement in order for to pay directly to them and i have never received any response to date. I have been notified that i have been handed over to the credit bureau and cannot comprehend how they took a such a decision. I need to find out how come it took so long for them to make contact with me and provide me with the breakdown of the amount they say i owe.

I need you to understand that paying for the money that is owed is not the problem but i want to understand criteria used to make the decision and they have my account removed from their database and returned to the school.

Please intervene.

Good day Madimetja Komape, further to your comments, you do not provide any relevant information to be able to investigate your allegations and assumptions, not even as contact number? You only added your name details under "review information", and to be able to investigate accordingly, please supply the required information (e.g. CONTACT NUMBER, REFERENCE NUMBER etc.)

Thank you.

Good day, thank you for your report. Further to the comments, please take cognisance of the following: a debit order was duly set up, however, your banking account did not accept/allow the debit order. When you realised that the debit order did not go through your account, our records reflect that you did not follow up with the relevant parties to query why not and to make alternative arrangements to repay your debt. Be that as it may, we took the liberty to refer your claims to the College. Their feedback states that they do not have any queries or enquiries from you regarding the account in question, and that there records clearly reflects that the account is still outstanding and payable.Should you have any related account queries in that regard we suggest you take it up with the College. It will however be in your own interest to conclude alternative repayment arrangements with VeriCred as a matter of urgency to eliminate the accrual of additional collection fees and interest. Kind regards,VeriCred Collections
