After receiving a 90 day notice , I paid my Ampath bill. I have now received admin charges from vericredit for email sending fees and sms charges regarless that I have settled this account 3 months ago. each email that was sent they billed me R24.15 and 3.45 for sms charges, there is also a credit bureau search of 16.10 and a receipting cost of R232.32. Only God knows what that charge is. I have sent emails with POP and have tried phoning with no avail.

Please take cognisance that you did not 'settle' the account three months ago as being claimed, you only paid the handover amount which was owed to the service provider/our client. As you were handed over to a debt collection agency due to non-payment, there are naturally collection fees in terms of the Debt Collectors Act, 114 of 1998 for which you are liable.
Kindly note that VeriCred, who have been in operation for 31 years, is registered with the Council for Debt Collectors and as a result our charges are strictly in adherence to laid down procedures and legislation.
Please fami****ise yourself with the relevant charges by a debt collector which is evident on the Council's website for your perusal: www.cfdc.org.za. These charges excludes VAT and yes, there is a receipting fee charge of 10% (plus VAT on every payment made.
However, we note that from your correspondence of even date that you have duly settled the outstanding balance and under the circumstances we shall forward a 'zero balance' statement once the payment reflects.
