Vericred - ********* debt collecting procedures

Let me start of saying that I failed to pay r285-20 to Ampath laboratories in good time. My bad. I have now paid that. Ampath uses ceruicred to collect their bad debt. I received a call from them and they said that they have been trying to reach me. I asked that I be sent an email stating the amount owing. I then also looked at my emails and did not receive any emails - ohter than one a good time ago from Ampath - but none from Vericred. I received another call today and then they realsised they had the wrong email - even though Ampath has the correct one. I asked Zinhle to send the email to the correct email address which she kindly did. To my shock I then saw that Vericred charged me R215.05 for 9 emails - all sent to the wrong address, AND all sent on the same day. I then also saw that Vericred sent me 10 SMS's - also on the same day. I have sent Ampath a complaint asking how they can use a company that will charge for non-provided services. I asked Vericred to send me proof of the SMS's haviong been delivered. I am happy to pay their admin fees totalling R32.30 (the balance minus the R215.05 for emails sent to someone else. Companies such as these give the debt collecting industry a very bad name
