Vericred Charges

My R732,20 Ampath bill from October 2020 accident was literally handed over to Vericred last week at exact R732,20 and today it stands at R893,00 I wonder how much it will be by month end. I understand business needs to profit but these charges are ridiculers and discouraging we already struggling financially we really don't such unnecessary extra burden.

Good day NTOKOZO N, thank you for your report. Further to your comments, we hereby wish to reiterate and draw your attention to the following:
Due to payment default, your overdue account was handed to a debt collection company by our client Ampath and was not 'accidentally' as you claim on this forum. There are naturally charges and fees applicable in the collection processes in terms of the Debt Collectors Act, 114 of 1998, Annexure B.
VeriCred is a reputable company who have been in operation in excess of 30 years and is registered with the Council for Debt Collectors as well as The Association of Debt Recovery Agents (ADRA). As a result our charges are strictly in adherence to the laid down requirements as stipulated in aforementioned Act. Please refer to the Council's website to view the relevant charges by a debt collector: www.cfdc.org.za. (These charges exclude VAT).
In view of the above, it will thus be to your advantage to settle the outstanding account soonest to prevent the escalation of additional collection costs.
Kind regards.

Best regards,
