I have a huge problem with Vericred. We were send an email saying our inability to pay our account won't be tolerated anymore and that we will be handed over to ITC within 28 days. I contacted them and the phone was answered and put down in my ear. I then phoned back and was transferred to the consultant that is dealing with my "account". I was told that the account was settled in Jan 2018 but that I didn't pay their fees. What I don't understand is how this comes up a year and a half later. And interest was added to the so called fees since January 2018. I was then told that I have two outstanding accounts with the lab concerned but according to the lab there is none. I will not tolerate this from them and will take the matter up with the ombudsman. It seems like Vericred doesn't know what they are doing and is just out to make money out of people.

Please note that once you are handed to a debt collector for not paying your overdue accounts, there are naturally collection fees accrued for which you are liable. VeriCred as such is not "out to make money out of people" as you allege on this platform. Please fami****ise yourself with the relevant costs by a debt collector be referring to the website of the Council for Debt Collectors: www.cfdc.org.za. Your further comments of "interest added" is in fact a false statement as there is no interest applicable on a pathologist account as you claim. Be that as it may, there is a total of 2 (two) accounts outstanding with you being the patient at dates of service . Whilst the handover amounts of our client was paid, there is a portion of collection fees still due hence the fact that you are being contacted. We have however on an exceptional basis agreed to waive the outstanding costs due to the time laps and both accounts have now been finalised. Regards, VeriCred Collections (Pty) Ltd.

I am at this stage past frustration with you guys and I have no option but to take this all further. I was under the impression (as per your reply) that this matter was settled?????
