VERI CRED: FOR POOR SERVICE AND INFORMATION, YOU CANNOT TRUST
I had a 24-month data contract with MTN.The contract had ended and I was paying the contract on a month-by-month basis for some time. On April 24th I gave 30 days written notice to MTN terminating the monthly data payments. The 1st of May would have been the last payment. MTN acknowledged receipt of the termination notice .They then said that I could not leave and that the contact would end in January 2025. They then sent me a written contact which I had never signed. Interestingly enough one of the terms is that the contract must be signed. I don't see how this contact can be binding in any way. On the 1st of June MTN continued to present the debit order for payment. I returned the debit order as unpaid and proceeded to close the account as it is typical of MTN to try and process debit orders that they are not entitled to. On the 9th of September I received via email a demand from the heroic VeriCred Collections . I immediately reply to Vericred Collections giving my reasons for non-payment .I am still waiting for their reply .They now go and add fees and blacklist me at the credit bureaus .I know this from my bank Absa sending me a notification and from Nedbank with whom i have a credit agreement. My position is simple I am not indebted to MTN or Vericred Collections in any way and that if they do not sort out this matter to my satisfaction i will take further action.
