********* Business practice harassment from Vericred
I have been receiving countless number of harrassing phonecalls by very rude agents for an account which was settled....which I have confirmed with the account holder. Vericred is trying to ****** money from innocent people without verification. I will be reporting them to the NCR and the relevant industry ombudsman for this ********* business practice. This is ridiculous, and ******** prosecution needs to be taken against them.

18 Jul 2019, 16:00Hello JANICE J, thank you for your report. Further to the allegations and, we hereby would like to draw your attention to the following: Your outstanding overdue pathologist account was handed over for collection due to non-payment by you. Our client instructed us to collect the monies on their behalf in terms of the contract. Although you subsequently paid the handover portion of our client, the outstanding balance is in respect of the legal collection fees accrued, as you were handed to a debt collector. You are liable to settle the collection costs accrued in the collection processes in terms of the Debt Collectors Act, 114 of 1998. Your defamatory comments of "******** prosecution" and "********* business practice" on a public forum is thus totally unfounded and stripped of any truth as we are not "*********" nor participate in any "*********" business practices. Please take cognisance of the fact that VeriCred is registered with the Council for Debt Collectors as well as ADRA and our costs are strictly in adherence to the laid down instructions. Please fami****ise yourself with the relevant costs by a debt collector by referring to the Council's website: www.cfdc.org.za. Be that as it may, upon investigations we have agreed as a goodwill gesture to waive the cost accrued,as the payment you made to our client was received within a month after handover . The account in question has thus been finalised. Regards, VeriCred Collections (Pty) Ltd.
