Threatening to blacklist me for a debt that is settled
I keep on receiving threatening letters from Vericred for a debt that was already settled.Now threatening to blacklist me even after I send email with proof of payment to various email addresses at *** one is acknowledging or responding back to me,but the threats just continue from ***

Please take cognisance of the fact that we do not blacklist as a collection agency, you were duly blacklisted on the relevant credit bureaux by our client when you defaulted with payment. Be that as it may, your account was handed over to us for collection by our client. We have taken it up with them already four (4) times and have forwarded the proof of settlement as well that you provided. We await their feedback and your account was placed on hold in the interim pending their reply. Thank you.

26 Jan 2021, 17:51I am not blacklisted for anything,Vericred said in a letter to me that Vericred will blacklist me if I do not make payment within 28 days. I received another demand letter for payment from *** ,please resolve this with your client as the account is paid up.

Kindly take cognisance that they have subsequently advised that it was done is error and as a result, we hereby confirm that the account in question was closed and retracted accordingly.
