They won't leave me alone but i paid
My son was once admitted in hospital and there was an Ampath account which my medical aid did not cover in full.I was contacted by Vericred for this account and after discussions i paid for my outstanding bill and even emailed my proof of payment. To my surprise i keep getting calls and sms saying i have been handed over.I explain the same story to call centre consultants but i don't think they do anything to resolve this.

I am tired and i feel harassed.I don't know what more they want from me.Shouldn't they have this on record?Just because they can send legal terms of handing people over it doesn't mean they should not get their house in order.

Tell me what more i need to pay for,as far as i know i settled my account.I am sick and tired of repeating myself in calls that i receive and i am feed up with the smses i receive. In fact i think i should charge them for all the calls they make to my cell and the smses i have received as they are invading my privacy and disturbing my peace.
Thank you for your report. Further to your assumptions and allegations, please note that your overdue account was handed to a collection agency due to non-payment. As VeriCred Collections is registered with the Council for Debt Collectors as well as the Association of Debt Recovery Agents there will naturally be collection costs involved in terms of the Debt Collectors Act, 114 of 1998. You were contacted by VeriCred on 20/01/2015 and you subsequently only paid an amount of R300-00 on 23/01/2015 after an email was sent to you to the same address as quoted by on this forum which reflected a totally different amounty payable. As your R300-00 payment was allocated to part cost and part capital there is thus still a balance outstanding which you are liable for and you will thus still be contacted by VeriCred Collections until your outstanding account is settled in full. Under the circumstances it will be in your own interest to conclude repayment arrangements on an urgent basis to avoid the escalation of additional collection costs.
