Stop contacting customers for no reason
I have made payment arrangements with vericred for my accounts.Ever since I have adhered to the arrangements I am receiving calls and text messages to state payment was not made when I did them last week.Due to me being unemployed and my line not working I email a consultant to confirm payment.Vericred need to stop contacting customers unnecessarily.

We investigated and noted that, contrary to your comments, you were last telephonically contacted in MAY 2019, i.e. two months ago. Sms's you receive is perfectly legal and in line with the Debt Collector’s Act, 114 of 1998. It is also being sent to debtors, despite making payment, as a reminder to make the next payment and/or to give alternative payment options available to you which will make it easier for you. You are thus not being contacted "for no reason" as is being claimed. The relevant charges by a debt collector is evident on the Council’s website for your perusal: www.cfdc.org.za.
