Shylock aka Vericred Collections

Shylock in The Merchant of Venice comes to mind when I think of this company and how it treats people… Just some of the charges they add to the capital debt… Every email, sms and phone call Receipting fees Interest Collection fees “Other” unspecified fees And the one I like best… a settlement fee! So they will charge you an extra fee when you settle the full amount as they can no longer milk you monthly. 🤦🏻♀️ So for the balance of an Ampath bill that the medical aid should have paid (but didn’t) the capital amount owing these sharks was R1211, which I have paid, plus approx 25% - totalling R1500 paid on a debt of R1211. But they are still trying to extricate another R800 from me, and this seems to go up daily. And if I take one of their harassing calls, they just add that to my bill. Good Grief. The threatening letters allude to my “reluctance” to settle this debt … damn right, and I will continue to fight if I feel I am being charged unfairly!
