SETTLEMENT LIE
I am very disgusted and angry at how this above company is handling my settlement amount.
I was offered a settlement for my RCS account of which i agreed to. I made payment on the 23 October 2019, whereas i had up to the 31st of October to settle.
Today there's a lady who called me claiming that what i paid was short with R0.93c and now the settlement is no longer available as it has lapsed on the 31st October. I tell this lady i remember very clearly that what i paid was the offer at hand. I also asked her why they waited till after the expiry date to tell me this. The lady claims that they have been gtrying to reach me on my cell. I never received any calls from this organisation. Neither was i sent an email informing me that they tried to be contact with me.
I think this company is out to **** people and if so such must be exposed and reported.
I will not pay any futher amount towards this account and i expect them to respond with a paid up letter, otherwise i am reporting them to the cleaners and ombudsman!
I cannot be ****med like this, totally unfair and a bully behaviour!

08 Nov 2019, 11:44Good day Clementia Moloi,further to your comments we hereby wish to draw your attention to the following: there are strict terms and conditions for a discount settlement to be valid and for our client RCS to accept the discount of which the most important is to pay the EXACT amount due which did not happen in your case, as you short paid by 93c. It does not matter if it is 1c or R1000 short, the fact is that is is not a valid settlement. As all our calls are duly recorded, it was investigated and established that you were in fact given the amount that you must pay but you did not pay the correct amount. We are thus not "********' or a 'settlement lie" or you were not '****med' as is being alleged. Be that as it may, the process now needs to be escalated to our client upon their instructions to authorise the discount. Only after their authorisation, they will journal the account on their side to a zero balance and once we receive the statement reflecting 'zero' outstanding, will they authorise to issue a paid up letter. Please take cognisance that this process can take up to 30 days. Regards,VeriCred Collections
