Incompetence
I am divorced but still on my ex-husband's medical aid. I went to the optometrist approximately 4 years ago and the medical aid short paid them with R900.They handed the ex husband over and he refused to pay for this, so I was contacted by VeriCred. I agreed to pay the monies.Being in financial dire straits, I could only pay R100 per month. After paying for almost 4 years, and never getting any statements, feedback etc,I decided to contact them to find out what the balance of the account was. This was in January.Only to find out the account was paid up 10 months earlier.I was NEVER notified of this. Then I had to fill in forms, lots of red tape to claim my money back.At first they said because the account was in my ex-husband's name, they would need all the documents in his name.I explained to this Denise Sutherland that we are not talking and he would not allow me to get ANYTHING.After doing an affidavit and sending my bank statements, they agreed to refund me I was notified that I would receive the refund on 3 March 2016. When I enquired yesterday about the refund, this Denise got so rude with me and shouted, she is busy with it.I feel that is unacceptable. It is MY MONEY.
Thank you for your report. Upon investigation the Financial Dept. dealing with the refund informed that the last correct documentation was received as at yesterday's date 03/03/2016. The refund process is imminent and the funds will be transferred to yourself via EFT today.
Please be guided accordingly.
