Horrible Experience!!!

I've always had a completely unprofessional and nonchalant experience with vericred. all they are good for is sending messages to my phone about how much I owe but they never acknowledge receipt of ANY of my payments. and the worst part is that I keep paying but the balance only goes up and instead of being reduced. I called in several times and sent mails requesting a statement breakdown. got through to a supervisor called Anna and she couldn't even explain their own statement. what I've picked up is that vericred applies unreasonable and outrageous charges on my account, which they can't even fully explain. I understand the interest and collection fees but my balance is always higher that it is supposed to be. my emails have been read and no one reverts back to me since I called in to listen to Anna's excuse for a statement breakdown. That is after I requested a statement for months and it only got send a few days ago. I am liable for my debt but consumers have rights and vericred is liable to operate within the laws of TCF among others. I will definitely have them looked into for these necessary charges which make it impossible to close an account with them on installments.

Good day Christopher Tsuke1, thank you for your report. Please take note that your overdue account was handed over for collection in August 2018 and you only commenced with payment in November, i.e. 3 months later. We further note that you do not make regular monthly payments, skip payment some months, also that you disputed and returned a debit order in November 2018. Be that as it may, there are naturally interest charges on your outstanding account, which is being referred to as 'mora' interest, coupled with the legal collection fees for which you are liable in terms of the Debt Collectors Act, 114 of 1998. Please take cognisance of the fact that VeriCred Collections is registered with the Council for Debt Collectors as well as the Association of Debt Recovery Agents (ADRA) and all charges accrued on your account is legal and legitimate and strictly in adherence to the laid down legislation. To fami****ise yourself with the relevant charges by a debt collector please refer to the Council's website: www.cfdc.org.za. these charges exclude VAT of 15%. We shall arrange for the manager and supervisor to contact you and explain costs to you in need. Regards, VeriCred Collections (Pty) Ltd.

Best regards,
