Harassment by Vericred for account that was settled
After having received ANOTHER SMS to say we would be handed over if not paid within 72 hours.....Below is the comms that I sent to them earlier this year AMPATH Acc#: The attached account refers: We - for the first time- received notice in Feb 2015 from yourselves that this account was outstanding to Ampath- R897-10 The amounts of R200-00 (paid 16/04/2015) and R697.10 (paid 30/04/2015) were paid as indicated From that time May 2015 onwards we were still receiving calls, sms's from yourselves indicating that this account was in arrears Not once was the payment acknowledged by yourselves. Not once were we told that the amount you have actually been trying to claim are YOUR charges for collection As per your statement attached I will pay the amount of R152-31 for the charges from when you first received the account until we paid for this account in April 2015 This is being paid to you in good faith and to resolve this account amicably and in no way is an admission of debt to yourselves The other collection charges (total now of R968-00) will NOT be paid as I am not liable for them as your office did not once inform me that the outstanding were your charges Only on me contacting AMPATH directly in December 2016 (to find out why they had not yet informed you of the payment back in 2015) did I find out that it was possibly your charges that you were attempting to claim from us I will now consider this matter closed If we receive anymore calls, emails or sms's from yourselves on this matter I will consider this harassment is
