I have never received any letter or communication from them at all until i receved numerous calls from Vericred who says they are doing collections for Pathcare. I told them i have no outstanding invoice with Pathcare and were they to provide me with an invoice, I would immediately pay the amount due. They keep calling repeatedly with the same story, Itell them to REFER TO THEIR RECORDED PHONE CALLS SO I CAN STOP REPEATING MYSELF. Finally, on the 19th April, I received an invoice (dated 19th April) from pathcare. The amount was paid within the following 2 days. I have not eccepted any form of liability to them but they are still calling me and sending me messages. Surely this is harassment!

Good day, thank you for your report. You were however not 'falsely billed' as you allege. Please note that due to you not paying your outstanding account, our client Pathcare handed you over for collection in beginning of March. Pathcare send out numerous statements to inform that you have an outstanding amount. In addition the Med Aid also send out detailed statements of which amounts and service dates were paid or not. Please note that VeriCred is registered with the Council for Debt Collectors as well as the Association of Debt Recovery Agents. As a result all our charges are strictly in adherence to laid down procedures.Kindly refer to the relevant charges by a Debt Collector on the Council's website: www.cfdc.org.za. As mentioned, your account was handed over in beginning of March and only paid on 26/04/2017. We have however waived a portion of the outstanding collection fees as a gesture of goodwill. You will thus still be contacted by the relevant branch to settle the remaining legal collection fees accrued on the account since 14 March 2017 until 26 April 2017.

Best regards,
As requested telephonically (if you'd listen to your recordings), I asked that you send me any outstanding invoice. You repeatedly called requesting payment but no invoice was sent to me. I was not aware of any outstanding payments. After paying the invoice dated 19th April, I have no further amounts outstanding with Pathcare. There was no amount previously outstanding.
