Daily harrasment

Despite the fact that I've politely asked not to be called again about 3 weeks ago, I am still receiving daily calls from this company who is looking for a person that I am no longer in contact with. I don't know how my number has come to be associated with this person and upon asking to speak to a supervisor/manager the calls gets dropped in my ear, If this is the type of service Vericred renders then surely they are in breach of PoPi and TCF?! Calling their offices yields no results as the phone keeps ringing with no answer.

Good day SNEED DOGG, thank you for your report. Please take cognisance of the fact that VeriCred do not randomly selectto add contact numbers on accounts handed over as you claim on a public forum. Your contact number came through with the handovers of the accounts as the account holder, which you mention in the review information, listed you at the service providers as a reference and/or contact person and/or next of kin on their account. You also do not mention your surname or initials to verify if it is your account or not. Please note, the POPI Act is still to be finalised and approved. Be that as it may, we have as at today removed your contact number, the cellular number which you listed on this forum. Take note of the fact that it will only be effective as from TOMORROW'S DATE, i.e. 31 October 2017. Regards,VeriCred Collections (Pty) Ltd

The person in question used to report to me, as she is no longer in my employ and I have no way of contacting her or even knowing if she is still alive I would suggest you use your tracing tools more efficiently. I feel I do not have to mention my name and surname or confirm if the account in question belongs to me or not if your tracing department are doing their job properly. As for the rude agent who has my details and keeps calling me and dropping the call after I ask to speak to someone in charge, will he be reprimanded? You say my number have been removed, pity the soul who calls me tomorrow looking for "Yesikaa Jaaakops" as he calls her!
