Bullying tactics and questionably methods

This company refuses to send me documentation via e-mail but wants me to accept their terms and conditions telephonically, which means I cannot verify the amounts owed or question the legality of their actions. This is surely not legal?

Thank you for your report. You do not specify which alleged documentation you are referring to nor do you provide any details to investigate your claims. We have however traced your overdue account and followed up with the relevant branch. You initially agreed to repay via debit order. Kindly take cognisance of the fact that a debit order agreement is done telephonically and is perfectly legal and acceptable as it is recorded. It is done via REALPAY and there are strict terms and conditions which need to be met by us. Furthermore, contrary to your statements on the public forum that 'this company refuses to send you any documentation via email", once the debit order agreement is completed telephonically, you receive the relevant documentation via a SECURE LINK which can only be opened with your ID NUMBER and which contains the full agreement stating in full what was agreed upon including the terms and conditions as discussed when the agreement was done. This practice is in fact perfectly legal. VeriCred send this out to thousands of debtors via email when instituting repayment plans via debit order. Please be guided accordingly.

I initially agreed to pay via debit order, until I was told they cannot send me the relevant information to read before I make a commitment. I will NOT agree to such a contract, telephonically and want it to be e-mailed to me. The line was so bad, and the lady was reading the terms and conditions at such a pace, that I was unable to hear properly. Furthermore I will not agree that I owe a creditor an amount if I have no proof to back it up.
