I am very disappointed as i have received a call this morning that i am owing an outstanding amount on Sanlam personal loans which i have paid and received a confirmation letter from *** on the 23rd of June this year. what nonsense is this? Currently there is no amount due by the debtor to the Creditor on this account. Now they come back 3 months down the line and demand *** and Sibongile please respond as i need an answer asap..

Please take note, we did not go and 'fetch' the account from Sanlam, they handed it over to us to collect on their behalf. The account was only handed over on 13 SEPTEMBER 2023, i.e. 2 days ago.
Be that as it may, you claim to have received a paid up letter which states that you have settled the account in question with another external collection agency. When you were contacted by our agent, you were to mention the fact and forward the relevant proof of settlement as you claim in order for us to investigate with our client. Our records however reflect that you have not mentioned or forwarded any proof in this regard, you also do not mention if you have ever presented this letter to Sanlam to advise them accordingly otherwise they would not have handed your account over two days ago and instructed us to collect on their behalf.
Please take cognisance that you will be contacted in due course whereby they will request the paid up letter from you to take up with our client. In the interim a hold was placed on your account pending feedback and clarity received from our client in this regard.
