Arrogant, Unhelpfull and absolutely useless!

FOUR times the same (female) representative of this institution contacted me. Each time I was informed that I owe Trailarent an amount of about R700 and that I have to pay this into VeriCred's account IMMEDIATELY to avoid prosecution and black listing.

EACH time I informed her that: (1) I am not in the habit of paying any amount just because a total stranger has phoned me from an unknown number (that changes every time) and informed me that I owe somebody money without providing any proof. (2) Trailarent NEVER contacted me concerning this, so how do I know it is true as one has to pay cash up front when hiring a trailer. (3) If it IS the truth, I have no problem paying any amount that I owe, BUT:

- I want proof that I owe the amount to Trailarent. - I want proof that they tried to contact me before handing me over to VeriCred.

I supp**** her with my email address.

A week later she would phone again with the same threats of dire consequences if I do not pay up immediately. And the next week. And the next...

She would repeat my email address to me, plead ignorance as to why I haven't received an email yet and promise "to escalate my request". And that is where it still is - promises.

This institution has now stopped contacting me by telephone and reverted to sending weekly sms's stating the amount, the banking details and more threats.

I have reached the stage where I am waiting to be either black listed, or summonsed - because I WILL go to court with this - even if only to very publicly expose this institution's incompetence and bullying tactics.
