Verbatim has no TRUE lifetime warranty

I product, the Verbatim 8GB nano flash drive, still sold in South Africa, has no true lifetime warranty. Mine stopped working. I contacted Verbatim. And they said to me: \This product is no longer manufactured and we don't have any stock left. As the lifetime of the product has ended
