pathetic service

velox auctioneers is by far the worst company to do business with. they have failed on every promise they made to me. they claim to have sold catering equipment on 30 august 2016. they claim to attract the clientelle interested in the equipment but only 1 person pitched to their auction, in which advertising costs were incured. they have not paid me a dime since they have to date sold some goods. they fail to communicate with me. they do not repond to emails even though legal action will be taken against them. they do not return phone calls.

they have basically ****** from me. it is sad and pathetic that these corporate sharks are able to not be liable for anything.

i have spoken to the owner JP as well as the consultant Rudolph. my complaints have fallen on deaf ears.

i am disgusted.

Unfortunately this is a case of trial by public opinion and always ends up in mudslinging and name calling. This reply is therefore an attempt to give our side but without entering into any long winded to and fro. We as a company work solely on commission and generally carry all costs up front, for example cleaning of equipment, transport (where applicable), administration and other costs including advertising. In this instance the seller/complainant agreed to advertising costs, which we paid up front. These costs were only for newspaper advertising and other advertising, for example electronic media was covered by us, once again upfront. Some of the equipment that was to go on auction was not working, in one instance the cold/freezer room, and was repaired at our own cost so as to make it sellable. Granted goods sold on auction are voetstoots but in the interest of our Buyers (purchases a working unit) and our Sellers (achieves a better price) we prefer to ensure goods are in a working condition where possible. We spent three days prior to auction at the premises to allow viewing by Buyers at our cost. Unfortunately there was poor turnout on auction day, not only one person, and bids made were very low due to numerous variables. For this reason it was decided to transport the goods to our premises and auction the goods on one of our weekly auctions. The goods were transported to our premises, deep cleaned, advertised and sold at our cost. Unfortunately not all the goods were sold on this auction and unsold goods were carried over to following auctions until sold, once again advertising was at our cost. We went out of our way to assist the Seller/Complainant and even arranged to have the cold/freezer room removed, to which she agreed, and once again paid the contractor up front, but once again no good deed goes unpunished. The Seller/Complainant was paid after her goods were sold and her account reconciled after the deduction of costs agreed to, which we paid up front. These are the facts and I am not willing to get into a mudslinging match with the Complainant.
