BGCD 3rd Year. ?Vega Game Design doesn't care about their students, we are currently way overworked for second semester, I would bring it up to them, but we have, we have had a discussion with the head of the degree already, they realized they gave us an unrealistic amount of work in Semester 1, what happened? Oh they apologized, and that was that, everyone that failed still failed, and they continuing this, there is almost no way that we can pass all our modules as they all require allot of work and if we do, our marks will be so low that any other place wont accept us for further study. (Starting to think they don't care about us but are just trying to get as much money out of us as possible before we leave). We also 'apparently' have showcase where we show off what we have worked on, not that we were told about it, every other degree was told at the beginning of the year and lecturers have constantly been helping them work on their showcase material with assigned time towards it, here we are being told after the start of second semester, not like a fully designed game takes a good amount of time to make or anything. Currently we have to design and make a full game by November for showcase, no problem, oh wait, we also have to fully design and create a game engine in c++, but first, we actually have to learn c++, we were never taught it beforehand and this just increases our workload, having to go from using c# and coding small aspects of games to learning c++ and having to understand how to make a game engine, which is a whole other level of programming, but hey, we get extra classes on our day offs to 'catch up'. This alone is an almost impossible amount of work for 3 months, let alone having the addition of two other modules which I won't go into right now. I have no idea how any of us can pass well or pass at all at this point, there is no help from vega, no signs of lowering our work count, but hey, we fail and we pay them an extra 10k for next each module we retake next year, so why would they want to help us pass?. There is zero help from vega and this is what its come to, a third party site, because they care more about their brand image than their students so maybe now they will listen, still doubtful, but who knows. Not looking to spending another year at vega, but they have locked us down here and guess we will just have to pay it and try pass next year when we only have to retake the modules we failed.
Best regards,
