Unacceptable Administrative Failures and Poor Communication at Varsity College Durban North

I am beyond frustrated with the constant administrative incompetence and poor communication at Varsity College. My transcript and certificate, which were supposed to be uploaded to my student portal by February 10th, are still unavailable. After logging multiple tickets and repeatedly contacting the Student Hub, I was sent in circles—Customer Relations told me to contact the Student Hub, while the Student Hub directed me to my campus office. This back-and-forth is not only unprofessional but completely unacceptable.

After receiving no help, I had to consult my lecturer, who escalated the matter and provided me with the registrar’s email.Instead of sending students in circles, the Customer Relations office should have provided the registrar's email from the start to ensure a quicker resolution. Only after contacting the registrar directly was I informed that I had only been officially graduated on the system as of the 24th. If I had not taken the initiative, I would have been excluded from the graduation list entirely. This is a clear case of negligence. If this was a system error, it should have been immediately corrected without students having to beg for their essential documents.

This delay is causing serious setbacks for students who need their documents to apply for jobs. Despite being told my documents were ready for download, none are available on my portal. For the high fees we pay, the level of service is absolutely unacceptable. It seems that the Customer Relations office believes they are doing students a favor by assisting with these issues, but the reality is that they are being paid to perform their jobs. This dismissive attitude only adds to the frustration of dealing with an already inefficient system.

Over my four years at this campus, I have encountered numerous administrative issues, and it is clear that there are severe inefficiencies within the system. Varsity College must take accountability and implement immediate improvements to prevent other students from facing the same frustrations.
