Varsity College Lies.

Varsity College has been selling a lie to all BCOM Law and LLB students, as well as their parents.

A BCOM law degree at varsity College is 3 years and an LLB degree is 4 years.

Varsity College will promise prospective law students and their parents that should they complete the 3 years of BCOM law, then they may get credits and articulate into the LLB degree for 2 years only— shaving down the 4 years of LLB by half. That means 5 years and 2 degrees. Which makes for a very happy student and parent.

When a student graduates the three years of bcom Law and opts to register for the 2 years of LLB, as promised, they would find that the LLB would take them 3 years. When questioning this, varsity College will shrug their shoulders and say “well, if you can do 8 modules per semester, then you can complete the LLB in 2 years. But we all know that’s not feasible”.

As one can see, they’re finding a loophole in their lies. A student can technically complete the LLB in 2 years if they can take up a hell of a lot of modules, when the maximum a student can handle is 6. Varsity College knows this, which is why the truth is not revealed until it comes time to articulate into the LLB. They’ve been selling this lie since 2016. Students begin to panic when they realise that they don’t have that extra year to spare. They had a 5 year plan in mind, not a 6 year plan.
