Varsity College, The Blind Misleading The Blind & It's Costly.

I'm currently struggling to resolve a Small query with Varsity College Sandton and it leads them to hand me over to the legal for collections.

Varsity College cancellation clauses is so vague, that it is merely impossible to follow.

My Daughter registered for this year's semester and the study loan was declined. She took it upon herself to call and cancel the registration. Little did she know that she needed to cancel before a certain date, however she sent the cancellation request after struggling numerous times to cancel.

To give a back-round. She selected myself as the loan applicant and due to me not qualifying for Credit.

I received a mail from the collections department stating that I'm in arrears. I then called my daughter in to find out if she had cancelled the registration. She sent the mail to me saying she spoke to the lady at VC and the lady said she must send a mail to this person. I in return tried to set-up a virtual meeting with the person from VC who sent me the arrears mail in order to resolve this issue. I have the proof of all these mails as well as the phone records. No one attended the meeting from VC. A month later I received a call from the lecturer(head of department) asking me why my Daughter was not attending classes.

Well I had a bit of a go at this person although in a light manner and politely. He said he will speak to the relevant people to find out and call me again, I'm still waiting.

Next up, The collections department called me, I spoke to the guy and asked him why he never attended the meeting request and he said I must send him everything again, which I did. He confirmed he will call me back. He called me back to say that he is still processing my request and he will speak to the relevant people to get this resolved.

Next I receive a outcome letter that I have to Pay 20K. and they advise me that I'm 90 days in arrears. Currently I'm 120 days in arrears and about to be handed over for legal collections.

What do I do? I could have just sent my daughter for a few subjects for that price.
