Horrible accounts departments

<p>Good Day </p> <p> </p> <p>I was a student at Varsity college a few years ago, and when I completed my course with them I was under the impression that all my fees were paid. </p> <p>A lady from the accounting department send me a statement reflecting an outstanding amount when I asked her for all the amount that had been paid, she took days to respond with an appropriate account statement. </p> <p> </p> <p>I told them that I did not believe that I owned them this amount and heard nothing since.</p> <p> </p> <p>Today I get a telephone call from a lady in their accounts department stating that my account had been handed over. </p> <p> </p> <p>I feel that this is unfair as:</p> <p>I had a dispute about this account and the amounts that made it up. </p> <p>I was never contacted by anybody at Varsity college to either settle the account or to make payment.</p> <p>and </p> <p>I was a student with them for almost 2 years and never ever failed to pay my accounts.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have now made a payment into their account and get a rude phone call from their staff stating that " You are too late, you have been handed over, pay the lawyers ." </p> <p> </p> <p>I contact their attorneys in an attempt to make payment and both their numbers are engaged and have no response from them. </p> <p> </p> <p>This is an extremely stressful situation since </p> <p>I am told that I cannot pay this recipient but cannot contact their attorneys to arrange payment and, I am not certain if i own them in the first place. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
