A legal ****

<p>I am currently in my third year of studies for my Diploma in Software Development.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have paid more than 60k a year to study at an institution that is more concerned with getting payments than actually delivering good education to its students.</p> <p> </p> <p>The syllabus is just sad. The quality of learning material is fit only for primary school dropouts. The lecturers for the most part do not seem properly qualified (Some ARE amazing). The hadware we use for my course is outdated. The building itself is not so much a place of higher learning, but rather somewhere you would expect to find a group of ************ working their magic to bamboozle people out of their cash. The standards required to pass the course do not even properly qualify me to TEST (not even make) some sub standard app that will probably never be downloaded by anyone.</p> <p>This "Institute of higher learning" charges obscene amounts of money for a course drawn out over three years. Even though it can easily be done in two. But why get two years of payments from someone when we can stretch for three.</p> <p> </p> <p>There is nothing that I have been taught that cannot be learned in an eighteen hour course from Udemy or CodeAcademy. The quality of the course at Varsity College is honestly laughable. </p> <p>I can not, with dignity, look for a job with the qualification I am currently working towards. Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING I have been "taught" will help me in any way in the software industry.</p> <p>Looking back now, I would have taken the money I spent on this excuse of higher education and just done tutorials on YouTube, Udemy and Tutorials Point. I guarantee the standard of the certificates you can attain from those (some free) sites is much higher than the lazy, ill concieved bull**** fed to me by this POS institution.</p> <p> </p> <p>If you are willing to spend upwards of 200k, on a piece of paper that will in NO WAY help you in the future, feel free to waste your money. Otherwise, go to a place that is cheaper and will actually give you a good education. The only reason I am even half-attempting to complete this diploma is so that I don't completely waste all the money I have spent the past 3 years.</p> <p> </p> <p>If you value you, or your childs future, do NOT send them to Varsity college. All it is is a cash grab dressed up in a legit looking frock.</p>
