Varsity College- YOU ARE JUST A NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, i am a student at varsity college Pretoria campus studying BBAH3.

I had to write a supplementary exam for finance on the 5th of December 2019 and when i arrived on campus they have informed me that they had changed the date to the 14th of January 2020. There was no communication whatsoever indicating that the date was changed, we were informed on the day of the exam that was supposed to be written, that the schedule had been changed.

On the date of the scheduled exam date, i arrive on campus and look for the list indicating the venue of where the exam will be written and there was no list. Me and my classmate who is writing the same exam and studying the same degree went to the student reception and they had no idea about the exam. We checked the updated timetable on the portal and it indicated that we were indeed writing today but the schedule that the admin had was another date which was yet again not COMMUNICATED!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is disappointing because our degree is being phased out therefore it feels like no one cares about you, they cannot keep up with their administrative or communication s****s. A student complained about a similar situation concerning the same module and that student got a private meeting with the principal.

Petrol has been wasted twice already and all we get is an apology and another scheduled date without a guarantee that will be writing on that date or if we will be informed about any future changes. When you register to study at this institution they ensure you that your are not just a number and that's exactly how we felt today, just a number.

Last year i scheduled a meeting with the campus councilor because i was going through a lot of depression and i needed someone to speak to about the difficulties that i was going through. On the day of the scheduled meeting she wasn't in her office at all, she didn't even bother to email me or call to ask if we can reschedule or plan future counselling visits.

If you're planning on going to register at varsity college Pretoria campus, please don't or at least reconsider because you will be just a number. The only time that varsity college cares is during registration in first year when you are with your parents or when there is an outstanding payment, either than that you are just a number.
