Poor Communication and Lack of Urgency
I am feeling so incredibly frustrated. I am currently in my 2nd year as a full time contact student at Varsity College Cape Town. I went in to college to register for the current academic year as soon as I received my academic counselling documents as I was told that I needed to wait for these to be sent to me before I could register. As soon as I had these I went into register as the online registration was and is still down. After much consideration and due to personal difficulties I decided that I would instead register for this year online as a distance student. I went in to campus to establish how exactly one goes about doing this, what process I needed to follow and who I needed to contact as such.
I have emailed all of the contacts that I was given, as well as emailing the email listed on the website for the online campus but I am yet to receive any form of communication back. As such, I logged at ticket on VC Assist asking for further assistance and was told that my query would be passed on to the online campus who would handle the ticket and my registration.
I am incredibly frustrated as no one has since responded to me and tomorrow is the last day before late registration in which I will have to pay an additional fee for registering late. I have done everything that I possible can and have not been able to register because I haven't received any assistance in doing so but now I will most likely be expected to pay additional costs due to poor communication and a sincere lack of urgency on the colleges behalf. I would however like to reiterate that my own campus has been nothing but helpful in this process.
