IIE Varsity College Newlands Cape Town INCOMPITENCIES

I have brought my side in terms of registration and payment so the systematic issues are NO fault of mine. I am reliant on IIE Varsity College Newlands Cape Town to sort any issues out. There are 7 days left of January and I still have no idea where I stand regarding the start date or anything related to classes. I don't know if it starts in February and if so on which date?

On the 11th of January of this year, I had decided to go to campus to do the registration in person, to avoid any issues. However, there were two issues: a) the codes were not the same online as they were on the printout, I was given by one of the student assistants and b) after choosing the modules for this year, pertaining to PGCE Senior Phase and Further Education and Training the system would not allow me to submit.

The assistant went to management who advised that I take the Teaching Experience module which is only to be offered in 2025. I was then informed that I will get an amendment form via email which I need to fill out to request that the module be dropped to rectify an issue which is IIE’s and not mine. I did as advised to hasten the registration process.

Furthermore, on the 11th I had paid the full amount for the year. Hence IIE Varsity College Newlands Cape Town does not have to wait for payment from me. I have done everything in a timely manner. Yet, the issues of the amendment as well as not being registered have not yet been sorted out.

I CANNOT access the MyVC portal. Whenever, I call to query information about the start date, books I need or my time table and on which days to go in for classes, I am told it is on MyVC. Again, I cannot access it and there is no follow up on what is happening and why.

I am at the point where I haven't started but I want to de-register and get a refund.

If I start later than the start date due to this institution's competencies is that fair?

I regret registering with IIE Varsity College Newlands Cape Town.
