AVOID VAPS AT ALL COSTS

I have been making use of VAPS for about a year now and at first, I was impressed by their service however the last three incidents were shocking and I will never make use of their service again nor would I recommend using them, in fact, stay FAR FAR away.

When my car was returned to me on the 29th of December 2023 I wanted to place my luggage in the boot, however, I found two of my hubcaps there. I then saw that my spare tyre had been placed on the back of the driver's side and my front wheel had also been changed. When I asked the driver why this had been done he had no idea and radioed the "head office" to find out. A person by the name of Jared stated he had no idea either. I immediately called him directly and I was met with nothing but excuses, stating that he is only in charge of bookings and the directors will return on the 3rd of Jan and I can speak to them. I was also laughed at and spoken to in a VERY condescending manner for wanting clarity on what happened to my car when it was in your care. The fact that there is no one "in charge" while the directors aren't there is shocking. My trip meter was cleared meaning I had no idea how far my car was travelling during the time there. My clock was changed, the radio was changed and my car seat was so low it looked like someone was sleeping while driving it.

Before this incident, I was a few km (Sandton) away from the airport when I received a call from VAPS asking if they left another client's keys in my car, which they did with all the information to their car. They asked me to return to the airport to bring it back, I said no. They asked me to pay for an Uber parcel which they would refund me for, I said no. I had the keys for a few days and I was also told that they did not want the directors to find out about the incident. The key was collected at my workplace a week later.

The incident before that was one where I waited for more than an hour for my car to be brought to me. The car was once again not washed but merely wiped down if you can call it that.

DO NOT MAKE USE OF THIS COMPANY. You will waste your time and you have no guarantee that your car will return in the condition you left it in.
