Disappointed and very angry

I am very disappointed, my husband trouser had a stains and I sooked the trouser with vanish liquid colour safe, it says for white and coloured clothes, safe on fabric I sooked not for long to remove the stain now my husband trouser has white patches all over the trouser....why do u say is suitable for all colours . Please help me what to do with his new trouser now I am very disappointed and angry I should never trusted vanish product.
