Tempur Ombracio pillows poor quality/design

Tempur Ombracio pillows poor quality/design. These pillows are only good for 1 to 1.5 years and then it tear and loose its shape. The pillows have a 3 year warranty but Tempur find excuses why they cannot repair or replace products under guarantee. They start there response with "As with any product there are certain conditions that need to be adhered to in order for a guarantee claim to be valid." I think this is reasonable and acceptable.

If the TEMPUR Product has been wet or soaked. The TEMPUR Material absorbs fluids and is difficult to dry, which reduces the functionality permanently (This is the part I have a problem with because we didn't soak the pillows but they decided we did and there decision is final!).

The discolouration and staining on the pillows indicates that the pillows have come into contact with excessive moisture / fluids. Excessive moisture / fluids degrades Tempur material drastically to the point of cracking and crumbling , causing irreparable damage that is not covered by the guarantee (I think any pillow will have stains on it after a year or two. It is normal for one to sweat and these pillows are extremely hot because it doesn't dissipate heat which is another defect of these pillows). To be certain of the above we referred this claim to our Customer Service Manager who confirmed the above findings. While this claim cannot be granted under the guarantee conditions we would like to offer you two R250.00 discount vouchers which could be utilised in the purchasing of replacement Ombracio pillows – please see vouchers attached.

Tempur treat there customers with total disrespect and it is by far the worst company I've ever dealt with. I can just imagine what there response will be if my mattresses with 10 year warranties start to give problems. There is a lot of companies selling memory foam products and my suggestion is to rather consider them at a fraction of the cost. We bought viscopedic pillows for our kids and they were 4 and 6 years old when we bought it (they drink water in bed .......). After 3 years it still looks like new. It cost a 1/3 of Tempur. I will never buy any product from Tempur because they find excuses not to repair or replace products under warranty. Rather buy from companies that value you as a customer.
