Paying double on books
I recently bought a book on which I paid via EFT. I got two sms's saying that a double order went through to my bank account, I checked my balance and indeed I paid double for a book than what I was supposed to. I went to van schaik today to get a refund on the amount that I paid for excessively. Apparently it does not show on their system and I received no refund. I am a medical student and finances are tight and I really do not have time to waste on running around getting bank statements on an error that is clearly not mine.

09 Apr 2015, 14:44Hello keanan0016,
As per your conversation with the store manager and as he showed you, on our side only one payment reflects. Unfortunately we can't do a refund without a proof of payment, which is why we need your bank statement showing that the amount was deducted twice.
We apologise for the inconvenience, but this is unfortunately how the process works.
Kind regards
