No books, no glory !

I'm currently writing my honours exam through Unisa. I needed 2 last textbooks, so I went to van Schaik's online bookstore. There I found the books and then I chose the EFT option for payment. I went to my financial institution INTERNET banking site, followed the prompts and paid a whopping R 2008.14. This took place on the 22nd of September. Proof of payment shows that transaction was successful. Payment went through on the 26th of September. After not hearing from van Schaik, I phoned them 2 weeks later just to be told that the payment does not reflect, I should fax proof of payment again. Did just that and was then informed that the account ( which is in their name, I might add) and to which my bank directed me to does not exist. Van Schaik head office, asks me to e-mail proof of payment and then again directs me to my bank, bank says if the account in question did not exist it would have rejected payment immediately and directs me back to Van Schaik's again. WHAT IS GOING ON ??? I would describe the people I dealt with at van Schaik as very cold and particularly uncaring to the predicament their company has placed me in. Be aware, be very aware next time you want to buy any textbook online from Van Schaik.
