Negative Payment Report
I Mrs L. Mokone have an acc with Van Schaik book store. My acc with Van Schail is paid up, but I just recently found out that a negative payment report has been issued to my name, to Experian Credit Bureau. As a result this has put my life on hold as I cannot purchase anything, as I recently visited some company and wanted to purchase something on credit which was declined. On enquiry and investigation, it was revealed to me that a negative payment report was issued against my name. This is how the matter came to my attention. Unless the report is revoked or amended my life is put on hold as I cannot buy anything. I would however appreciate it if the company can look into this matter and come up with a speedy resolution.
We did an investigation on your account and these were the findings. You bought goods with us in February and our terms are 30 days. However you only made your first payment after 90 days (May), then at 120 days (June) and the final payment after 150 (July) days. Unfortunately after 90 days we have to report all outstanding accounts to the CPA under the new credit act.
The account will be reported as paid up on the next CPA input which will be end of August. We can assist you with a letter stating that your account is now paid up to date. You are welcome to email *** if we can assist you with such a letter.
Unfortunately we can't do anything to remove the old record as according to the new laws. The record will remain as slow payer until the new credit law prescription period has expired.
Kind regards
