EduLoan customers suddenly not good enough??

Good day,

I hope this not only catches the attention of Eduloan, whom I will be contacting as well to let them know about this, but also someone at Van Schaik that cares about their customers. Long story short, I have just come out of a Van Schaik store feeling like my business is not wanted, thanks to cashier Lindi's attitude. Not only does she NOT know your stores policy about Eduloan customers, but when I told her that I am almost 99% sure that she is wrong, she told me she THINKS she is right because it applies to S-bucks students. I am NOT an S-buck student, whatever that it! After refusing to accept it, she told me to go to Eduloans office and bring her the list of things I may and may not buy. WHAT?? I must do her job for her then basically?? Then after struggling with my card, I asked her to please keep my books until Wednesday morning (less than 48 hours), so that I could come back when my textbook, that the friendly man at information ordered for me, was in store and I could pay for everything together. She said NO they cannot keep books?? I have many times before asked this same branch to keep books for me while I wait for ordered ones. Please CANCEL my order! Disgusted

Hello au.v02,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We investigated the incident and apologise for not immediately confirming that you could buy the product in question on your Eduloan card. We deal with a couple of bursary institutions and it's important that we confirm that we abide by their rules.

Unfortunately we can't keep books at our tills, only at our Information Desk, which I believe you were given the option to do.

We apologise for any misunderstanding which led to an unsatisfactory shopping experience.

Kind regards
