Dishonest bookstore

A few years ago, I needed money to buy books for my post-grad course, so I decided to sell my old undergraduate books to help fund new ones. I took boxes full of academic books to their Hatfield branch and they asked if I could leave them there to give them time to appraise the books and give me an estimated amount. When I contacted them they denied having the books, when I went there no one knew where it was so I feel cheated out of thousands of rands when at a time when I needed it most. In my opinion, they are ******* who took advantage of my situation for their benefit.
