De*****ing Students With Incomplete Books
Hi, I was just informed by my sister that she bought books in February 2015 from one of your stores (on the monash campus). The book was in excess of R1000 and has 1500+ pages. They have now reached chapters where whole sections are missing in her book, not just 3-10 pages (as is the norm with your bad quality books these days), sections of 30-50 pages are completely missing this time round. Please advise what the process is to get a new book, obviously the current book has notes and highlighting in it, no student can check a whole book of 1500+ pages before starting to study. This is a disgrace and theft, I suggest you make contact with me as soon as possibble, as we will take legal action, open a case of theft and another of ***** and we will do the necessary to enforce the CPA. How the fu ck can you de***** students by selling such incomplete books? I will spread the word on your de*****ing of students so quickly on social media, media24 would love a story like this as well. Make contact with me urgently!!!!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
We have arranged a replacement copy for your sister to be picked up at any time that is convenient to her.
Misprints and misbound copies do unfortunately occur from time to time. We always give a replacement copy to the student in such cases. We are not to blame for misprints. It's the publisher's responsibility as they arrange printing and sending books to our stores.
We have already been in contact with your sister to arrange the replacement of the textbook with her.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
Kind regards
