VAN RIEL DEVELOPERS - NO ETHICAL VALUES

I bought a property developed and built by Van Riel Developers. Mike and Estelle van Riel used their values and strong Christian beliefs as sale strategy. It was quickly very clear that this approach was only window dressing. The property is a double story townhouses in a security complex. Two months after we occupied the unit the foundation broke. During closer inspection it was established that the foundation broke before the unit was sold to me. Cement was pushed with fingers into cracks in order to hide serious defects from potential buyers. The foundations of the two adjacent units also broke before they were sold. None of these defects were brought to the attention of buyers. The foundation was fixed in a quick cheap manner. All requests to fix the structure in a proper manner as per industry’s best practice were ignored. An Engineer employed by them supported their *****ed views which were totally incorrect. Two months later the foundation broke for the second time. According to a staff member the property is unstable and a serious risk to my family. Mike and Estelle van Riel refuse to take any responsibility for their sub-standard work. Fact is that money is their god and they don’t care what harm and damage they do to other people in the process. May God have mercy upon these people. They enrich themselves to the detriment of other innocent people.
