I was handed over to these debt collectors, however I have paid the actual account long ago. In 2020 I did not notice that my medicalaid had a shortfall. Only after receiving a email from these debt collectors I saw that my bill was not settled in fill. I questioned these debt collectors fees and commissions and they just kept saying that I need to pay or I’ll would be listed. I called the actual practice and Ansie the lady in reception said that their was a shortfall and that she’ll send me the statement with their banking details on. Straight after receiving the statement I paid the dentist directly - and updated my incorrect contact details that they had on file. A year after I still get these harassment emails from these collectors with all sorts of charges for calls/consultations and commissions which never took place because my contact number on their records are incorrect, in all my emails to them I have explained my case. My argument is with all said how do I incur charges that are more than the capital amount owed to the dentist? Their total fees are at R907 and still accruing with interest and consultation etc. The capital amount that I owed the dentist was R660
