Shady attorneys

I took time to pay the doctor's account and then the doctor handed over my account to these attorneys. Their legal fee is way above the initial amount due of R1008 which I eventually paid, now am being told I owe close to R1800 of legal fees, I mean how is that possible and worse they don't send you statements, they just call out of nowhere give you an unreasonable amount
