AVOID TJ van Oudtshoorn from van Oudtshoorn Construction

Good Day It is with great regret that it has come to this. Unfortunately I need to warn people to avoid any dealings with "Theunis van Oudtshoorn" (Margate) operating a company called "Van Oudtshoorn Construction". We requested a quote for the replacement of a storm damaged roof, and a roof replacement of another outbuilding. We received the quote, accepted the supp**** quote, and paid the required deposit, with the understanding that the project would start no later than 14 December 2024. Not being unreasonable, and understanding that the silly season was upon us, I expected a few delays with supplies etc. We are no at the end of March 2025, and no work on the project has been started. No materials have been delivered. All communications have been responded with excuse up excuse. I have repeatedly requested the deposit money be returned, and still nothing. Unfortunately it has now gotten to the situation where a docket has been opened with SAPS, and the lawyers will have to deal with this situation. Please AVOID dealings with this company at all costs.
