Poor education on medicine

Be careful when you’re collecting medication and have a vaccine on the same script. I’m so disappointed with Van Heerden Lyttleton pharmacy. I was collecting flu medication and asked for the script to remain as il be taking my baby for immunisation in 2 weeks time, not the lady insisting on dispensing it and saying it’s safe to keep it at home in the freezer. Come today I have to immunise my baby I’m told it had crystallised and cannot be administered. Why insists on a parent to keep a vaccine at home when it has cold chain to be adhered to and now I can’t claim same medication twice and the vial is about R800. I can’t claim it, I can’t use it, I can’t ask for a second script of the same thing and clearly have to use cash which I never intended to do knowing the cost of the vial plus cost for the clinic to administer it I’m so frustrated and disappointed with this level of service. Now I have to get alternatives with extra costs
