Do not entrust your vehicle to VPS

We used VPS to keep our vehicle safe whilst we went for our holiday abroad. When we touched back down in SA on Christmas day, everything went south due to VPS's lack of service / ownership of errors and / or willingness to correct problems. After 2 hours and 5 versions of whey they could not bring our vehicle we were finally told that they had lost our car key, but still did not at any point offer us a courtesy vehicle. Eventually the booking clerk promised to pay our plane tickets back to Bloemfontein, however, this was never actually paid & we are having to sue them for these costs now. The owner tries to make one feel sorry for him with stories of his miserable life, whereas we had to fork our unplanned 5k for plane tickets as as well as 2k for a car deposit and be stuck with a less than mediocre vehicle whilst we wait for new keys to be made, which he also did not offer to pay. Finally he found the keys in someone else's vehicle and our insurance is towing the vehicle back down to to us with the key (now a week later). Owner was unresponsive on Christmas Day when this happened as he was on holiday. His staff had no idea how to handle the problem. It is clear to us that this company is not trustworthy & we would just like to get the word out there to help others. We don't believe he will make payment of any of our damages due to lots of lies & ways to try and get out of it and eventually we will probably have to fork out more money for legal costs to act against him. Be wary of this Company and make sure you use one with proper references, we failed to check VPS references and unfortunately now we have to pay for it.

Consequently VPS and their attorneys have made payment to our for our damages and we have contacted the administrators of Hello Peter to remove this complaint.
