Unfair Exam Process
Honestly, if I could give 0 stars for the lack of empathy/compassion/understanding, I would. We had an unforeseen instance where we could not purchase power which I had been trying to purchase power from the afternoon before but the vendor was down and our power eventually finished and I've attached proof on my application for an excusal for my daughter's exam to be deferred. My daughter herself also approached the support team before the exam was set to start but they said they could not assist as it was not a valid reason for excusal. My daughter's laptop is in an unfortunate state and cannot be moved so she could not simply go an write her exam elsewhere. The response I get from UCT Online High School is that they cannot approve the request as it does not fall under a valid excusal in their policy. Which by the way, for collapsed infrastructure, the area needs to have been without power for more than 5 days for them to consider the excusal, how is this even fair???? I would not recommend this online high school, I've made the mistake of referring my friend here for her daughter some time ago but later started experiencing issues like this, not impressed at all 😡
