No due care in expedition

These guys advertised as being Amarok specialists but not so much, i took my Amarok for a time belt service that include the water pump and to check for a issue of heat going over 90 degrees, i was advised by Vincent there specialist that the oil cooler needed to be replaced i approved the quote of almost 7k, i received the vehicle back and the same issue persisted but now they were kind enough to have added a oil leak and i had to pay for a new dipstick tube that the technician had broken in the replacement , The vehicle went back and i was told it is the flow restrictors, shortly after the vehicle return the cambelt snapped, Vincent stated that the EGR cooler was leaking and the bakkie had a hydro lock 73k quotation was given after seeing the quote a lot was questioned and the amount dropped, i was told that the valves were not damaged due to the cambelt failure but the head was cracked we proceeded to with the repair and i requested the old parts back, I have had the EGR cooler tested and there is no leaks, i have sent the old head to engineer and it was found that the valves was bent and no cracks to the head, putting this aside the bakkie was still going over 90 after sending the vehicle back multiple times for issues ranging from oil leaks on the head and oil cooler eventually i was told that the problem is a blocked radiator i received a quote for almost double the price of a new radiator for a reconditioned one, i declined the radiator was then replaced by VAG Spec at there cost but the oil cooler remained leaking the vehicle was returned 4 times and the engine just washed with the leak returning after a day, the vehicle remained at there premises for a period of between 4 - 7days on every event to rectify but it was never done eventually the oil cooler issue was sorted out, with VAG Spec i would warn people that there is more guess work then actual technical expertise after spending close to 80k the fault was a radiator of 5k, I would advise a second opinion in any event.

Terrible, stay away. They lie on their website.

My car has been there for 11 weeks and still not done. They falsely advertised on their website they work with my warranty provider. It turns out they don't have their registration with them in order, so for over 3 weeks I was held in limbo while they tried - and failed - to get their sh..stuff in order. The warranty provider phoned me to tell me they cannot work with them, and that I have to claim after the fact. Then it took them a couple of weeks to test the injectors, took them over 4 weeks to replace the ECU. There is no hurry. Meanwhile, I have to pay thousands out of pocket extra for alternative transport because of these clowns.

VAGSpec unprofessional

Very very unprofessional. Filled in their forms when taking my car - specifically said keep all parts replaced in my car! I was then told they discarded them. In short I do not know if my car was even fixed because went from running now just parked on m drive way not even cranking! Bad service in my whole life of existence. Bare in mind paid 25k!

Poor Poor service @VAGspec

My car is in limp mode. The first thing I said I want the power back, do not do service if the car does not have power. Paid R25k, service done car still in limp mode and they qoute additional R50k - why initially didn't know the problem. It is like guess work and I fill ********** (****med). The communication is poor, you follow up. Take your car the at own risk!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Vagspec.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Vagspec. I took my Audi Q5 in for an oil pressure warning issue. The vehicle was kept there for an entire week. During that time, I was advised that they needed to: Do an oil service Replace the left CV Do a wheel alignment Replace the fan belt, tensioner, alternator pulley and idler pulley Every time I followed up, I was told they were busy working on the CV, belts and pulleys, and that I would only receive the car the following Monday because they were waiting for an oil pressure switch they had ordered. I specifically asked what was wrong with my current oil pressure switch, which was only two weeks old and supp**** by Audi East Rand. I never received a clear answer to that question. On Monday, I was then told that they had only done the oil service — none of the other work they had previously said they were busy completing had actually been done. When I spoke directly to the technician, he told me he had refitted my existing oil pressure switch. I then asked whether a proper mechanical oil pressure test had been done to isolate the low oil pressure problem. He said yes. However, when I requested the actual pressure readings at different RPMs and operating temperatures, I was sent a VCDS video instead of physical mechanical gauge readings. After collecting the vehicle and driving back to work, I discovered an oil leak when leaving later that day — something that was never there before the car went in. For a company that markets itself as Audi specialists, this experience was extremely unprofessional. There was poor communication, no transparency regarding diagnostics, and no proper accountability. I have kept all WhatsApp messages and voice notes relating to this matter should there be any attempt to misrepresent the situation. Very disappointing experience overall.

Poor customer care and setvices

I brought my golf R : 30/08/2025, with the knock in an engine. The advice was to rebuild the engine which costed me R84 000 which i did pay. Since from August after pay, i never recieve any progress report about my vehicle. I contacted the lady ( Cmoner /Symoner) who i did full payment too. The only answer i recieved with a sticky attitude was engine is out to engineering no futher explanation why does it it take so long. I personally started visiting their workshop every weekend due to frustration. On the 07/12/2025 i recieve my car, i only drove +/- 250km same day a car made same knock on the engine. I towed the car back to their workshop on the 08/12/2025. I have been told that i will recieve my car next year due engineering are closed. The issue i have is the poor service and sticky attitude from Symoner when i ask her why should i be the one who make follow up on my car , 4 months with no report. Previously the was a white lady who used to assist me there, i never had this kind of problem every day i would be updated about my car. Now i have to wait until next year to get my car sorted
